Hi all! Just wanted to share an outfit of the day... Check it out:

What's crazy is how sad I look!! As if I got deserted right before Valentine's... And now that I'm thinking about it, this outfit could totally be good for that, haha! I adore this pink sweater. It's slouchy and cozy - just perfect.

The other thing I'm loving? Playing around with my hair. It's growing way fast! I only cut it two months ago and it's already almost too long for me to rock a plain ol' short 'do!

The last shot was a little close-up of the makeup; been experimenting with my NAKED and NAKED2 palettes almost every single day now... It's truly an obessession.

It has been unseasonably warm here for the middle of Winter. Especially considering I live nowhere near the west coast... It's truly a miracle. ♥

...well, the day's almost over. I can't help it if i'm a night owl, though! :)

All I can say is... thank goodness it's Friday tomorrow! Me being "ready" for this week to be over would definitely be an understatement.

Anyways, moving on to the good stuff.

I have been on this whole "50s kick" lately and been playing around with my makeup and hair. You know, beehives, red lipstick, and swingy skirts... all of that. Today, I kept it pretty simple. I had been messing around with this bright pink lipstick that CoverGirl's colormatching assessment has sworn I could pull off and thought I do a little bit of hairplay too! Check me out below...

I can't even remember what I was thinking here... maybe I was trying to look alluring??? Idk, but I don't think it was working, lol. Here go a few more...

It's been a little while since I've posted a FOTD or an OOTD...

So, why not do both in this post??!

I was playing around with some different shades after picking up an e.l.f. palette for $5 from Target. It comes with some really nice basic shades. I added a little sparkle and a pop of color and really enjoyed what I came up with! The first few pics are of how it turned out. The latter photos are of me messing around in the bathroom, trying to figure out the timer function on the camera. (No worries. You can totally lol if you want!)

Can you tell I love taking photos of myself? I didn't think so either... ;)

So busy last week! I have been gone for way too long. But, no worries, I'm back so you can get your fix!

So... I got one of those new Maybelline Colorsensational lipsticks in Plum Perfect.

I've been on the hunt for something a little dark for fall and this didn't quite fit the bill. BUT, I still really like it! I typically don't even do deeper berry tones, but I have to say I enjoyed the way this looked. Y'all know I had to throw in a quick nod to "the artist formally known as Prince" because, when I bought this hat, his song title was all I thought about, lol. I got the inspiration for a deeper lip from makeupD0LL on YouTube. I love, love, love her tutorials! She also has a blog that you can check out here. Anyways... here's my look!

 Rihanna is always beautiful and cutting edge. I love that she's never afraid to experiment with color or style, even when it may not be what everyone else believes is best. That is what true style is all about... Being comfortable in one's own skin and knowing what works best for you. My best friend used to always say, "Truth to thy own self." Rihanna seems to have made that her mantra as well! I think we could all take a page out of her book. Take a look at the pictures from my chapter!
